POSITION TITLE: Market Development Manager - BHC
STATEMENT OF JOB:
General Responsibilities:
Create business relationships with customers and potential customers. Identify medical market customer needs for proprietary health care product opportunities. Drive new product development opportunities and assist in market launch plans.
WEIGHT
Specific Responsibilities:
Utilizing the market segmentation approach;· Identify and secure growth opportunities for existing products in new markets.· Identify new proprietary product opportunities to address customer and marketplace unmet needs.· Create business plans for new markets as well as business plans for new product development opportunities. 50%
Lead idea generation of new product development. Actively participate in the development of strategy and tactics for new products including; product inputs, market objectives, costs, pricing, promotions and timelines. 20%
Customer and Sales interaction to drive sales. Know and communicate market position relative to competition and customer needs and expectations. 20%
Development and execution of divisional business plans 5%
Special Projects as assigned 5%
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree
10 Years of experience in health care related sales and marketing
Demonstrated medical device sales ability
Strong organizational leadership skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel up to 70%
Relationship:
Internal – Market Development Manager, National Sales Manager, Associate Product Manager, Market Research, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Service.
External – Customer, Sales Reps, Trade Associations, Agencies and Market Research Firms.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director of Business and Market Development, BHC.
